At the risk of sounding hashtag blessed, it’s such an honour when a well-known label that you admire takes a punt on you. Creatively speaking. It’s exactly what Olivia Von Halle did, last Christmas, with me. At the crack of dawn on a freezing 23rd December last year, we travelled to I-can’t-remember-where to style what was my first ever lookbook (told you she took a punt.)

It’s not exactly hard to make Olivia’s pieces look good – there’s a reason she’s accrued the reputation as the purveyor of the finest silk pyjamas in the land (or world?) and I think this is indubitably her best collection yet. Don’t waste those backless silk nighties and full-length silk Oscar Wilde gowns on the bedroom; I’ll be wearing my silky dress with thigh high boots for parties (not your gran’s) and the robes over Levi’s in the autumn. I’m very honoured to have been a part of this – and well done to James Meakin for making the photos as gorgeous as they could possibly be. You can shop The Buckingham Collection, here.
